Can You Afford To Run
Facebook Ads?

Can You Afford To Run
Facebook Ads?

For many entrepreneurs, especially in the early days, the number one hurdle is getting clients and closing sales.

When I meet with entrepreneurs, we would look at where they are and when they want to go and in nearly every business, we discuss Facebook Ads.

And when we do they almost always had the same response, “I can’t afford Facebook Ads”

As we dig deeper into why they didn’t want to move forward with Facebook Ads we found that it really wasn’t the money, what was holding them back, was fear.

They had been doing what everyone else what doing trying to grow their business.

  • Spending a fortune on their website
  • Creating tons of free content
  • Getting professional video
  • Going to every networking event they could find

Despite spending a fortune, traditional marketing wasn’t bringing in the results or the revenue they needed.

Doing what everyone else is doing is easy, it’s not cheap, but it’s easy.  There is a path and all you need to do is follow it.

It might not actually lead you anywhere, but it gives you a great workout.

If your goal is to generate huge dollars with your business, doing what everyone else is doing won’t get you there, you need to take the road less traveled.

Get it now!

So, if you are ready to get started with Facebook Ads, here are some things you’ll want to know.

How Much Money Will You Need To Get Started With Facebook Ads
Getting started with Facebook Ads is not as expensive as you may have heard.  You can start with a budget of $10 a day.  Assuming you don’t sell anything for the first 8 weeks, you will need to find $560 or $70 per week.

I can’t say I have ever spent $560 without making a sale but when planning your budget its best to be conservative.

Can a Regular Person Run Facebook Ads and Grow Their Business?
I did it, and I’m just a regular person. I’m not a marketing or sales wiz.  I’m not creative.  I am not particularly Social Media friendly.  I just followed a process.  If I can do it, you can too!

How Long Does It Take To Get Results From Facebook Ads?
It depends what your goal is.  If your goal is to build your list, you will see results nearly immediately. If you are looking to sell to prospects on Facebook either directly or through a sales vehicle like a webinar or traditional funnel it will take a little longer, I would estimate 6-8 weeks before you will see the sales roll in.

Is There A Secret To Running A Successful Facebook Ad?
Yes and no.  A successful ad follows a process so there is a bit of a secret to that, although these days it’s not really a secret.  Is there a way to beat Facebook, I would say no.  Follow Facebook’s rules and you will see successful results.

Where Will You Find The Money To Pay For Facebook Ads?
Look at where you are spending today and cut every activity that is not directly bringing in any revenue, be ruthless, it could be the difference between success and failure for your business.  Here are the most common places my clients have found funding for Facebook Ads:

  • Cut out 1 networking event a week.  On average the cost of one event is $75; when you factor in the ticket price, gas, a babysitter, new clothes (be real, you know you buy them) and printed materials like business cards and brochures.
  • Cancel subscriptions to services you don’t use.  Those business development or growth service you signed up for and aren’t using when you add them all together, they average $49-$297 per month
  • Cancel duplicate or inactive services.  Do you own LeadPages and ClickFunnels? InfusionSoft and Mailchimp? Quickbooks and Freshbooks? Keep the one you use and get rid of the one you don’t.
  • Cut one night out per week. Not entirely business related but certainly expensive, the average night out costs over $100.
  • Get a part-time job. It might sound extreme but if you are committed to your business it’s worth a temporary sacrifice, to build something that will feed you for the rest of your life.

Running Facebook Ads can feel like a huge step, I get it!  I think back to the first campaign I ran and remember the absolute blinding fear I felt stepping out of my comfort zone.  But if you want to go somewhere you have never been, don’t expect it to be comfortable?
